Even more room to enjoy 5 stars – extension to Hotel Alpen Tesitin Panorama Wellness Resort****

In an absolute dream location on a spacious sunny plateau in South Tyrol, the Feichter family warmly welcome guests from all over the world to their Hotel Alpen Tesitin Panorama Wellness Resort. Surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Dolomites, wellness fans, active holidaymakers and gourmets alike all feel at home. They appreciate the closeness to nature, comfort, security and the airiness that can be experienced here.

The hotel was extended from autumn 2017 to May 2018. Murexin products were used on an area of around 3400 m2in the course of tile laying in the entrance area, suites, wellness area and in the infinity brine relaxation pool. The work was carried out by the very experienced team of the South Tyrolean master tiler Amhof OHG.

Fine stoneware of various formats was laid in the bathrooms of the different suites, as well as in the entrance and wellness areas. Surfaces in contact with water were sealed in accordance with standards in the course of the preparatory work. When selecting the materials, special attention was paid to very good quality. This high standard was continued through to the products that were used for installation or bonding.

At the heart of the work, and with the greatest amount of work involved, was the sealing and tiling of the infinity brine relaxation pool. This offers moving salt water for floating and relaxing at 36 degrees. Due to the time of year of construction and the location at 1200 metres above sea level, an enclosure, which could also be heated, was erected for the work on the outdoor pool. In addition, the work on the pool had to be carried out in a chemical-resistant manner due to the salt water load.

The professionals at Amhof OHG therefore relied on system products from the Murexin Epoxy series for bonding the large-format fine stoneware and natural stone at the top of the pool: the White Epoxy Adhesive Mortar EKY 91 is food-safe, waterproof, frost-resistant, bacteriostatic, resistant to ageing and chemicals. It is particularly suitable for exposure to aggressive water. Epoxy grout has the same convincing advantages: FMY 90 is easy to mix, grout and wash. Epoxy-based joints are also bacteriostatic and very easy to clean – extremely important properties when used in brine or thermal pools.
